Monthly arcade-machine rental and event services, for consumers and professionals.

Version of 30 September 2026

1. Identity of the provider

THE JOYSTICK CLUB is a brand owned and operated by the company below. Hereafter “The Joystick Club” or “the Provider”.

2. Purpose and scope

These terms cover (i) the monthly rental of arcade machines and related equipment, with or without a commitment, and (ii) event services, including the provision of arcade machines, their installation and, when the offer includes it, a host. They apply to consumers and professionals, subject to the mandatory rules of their status. Any order implies acceptance of these terms in the version applicable on the order date. The essential characteristics, model, price, duration, start date and any options appear in the order summary, the quote or the confirmation sent to the Client.

3. Review of requests and formation of the contract

Online requests may be subject to prior review by The Joystick Club. Sending contact details and, where relevant, a payment method is not final acceptance. The contract is formed when The Joystick Club expressly confirms the order and its conditions. The Joystick Club may refuse a request for objective reasons, in particular availability of the equipment, technical or logistical constraints, safety, access to the venue, risk of damage, or unsuitability of the place for normal use of the equipment, without unlawful discrimination.

4. Monthly rental range

The range includes the Pulse, Groove, Club, Vibe and Icon models. Pictures on the site illustrate a product family: depending on stock, colour, fabric, some finishes or aesthetic details may differ, without changing the category, the function or the range level ordered. The catalogue of games, software or accessible services may change with licences, availability, technical updates and applicable rights. Unless the order says otherwise, a specific title is not guaranteed to stay available.

5. Monthly rental prices

Commercial grid in force on 30 September 2026. It may change for new orders. The price that applies to the Client is the price accepted at the order.

Model6-month commitmentNo commitment
Pulse99 €149 €
Groove129 €179 €
Club149 €199 €
Vibe219 €269 €
Icon259 €309 €

Unless stated otherwise, the first installation is included in the service area given at order (Monaco and the Riviera, about 30–40 km). Anything outside that area, or any special constraint, may be quoted separately. Amounts are euros per month, tax included.

6. Term — 6-month commitment

The commitment offer is taken for a fixed term of six (6) months from the handover date stated in the order confirmation. Except for a mandatory legal right, a breach by the Provider or recognised force majeure, any cancellation by the Client before the end of that term makes the remaining monthly instalments immediately due. A month already billed is not billed again. After the six months, the rental continues at the same monthly price, date to date. It can then be cancelled like the no-commitment offer: any monthly period that has started is due, with no pro-rata refund. No renewal can take away rights the law gives a consumer.

7. No-commitment offer — cancellation

The no-commitment offer may be cancelled by the Client at any time, with no extra notice. Any monthly period that has started is due in full and is not refundable. Cancellation therefore takes effect at the end of the current monthly period. No pro-rata refund is made. When the Client is a consumer and the contract was concluded online, or can be concluded online on the day of cancellation, The Joystick Club provides an electronic cancellation feature in the member area.

8. Payment of rentals

Monthly fees are payable in advance by bank card. The Client keeps a valid payment method for the whole contract. If a payment fails, The Joystick Club may ask for it to be put right and, after a formal notice with no effect, suspend the service or recover the equipment, without prejudice to sums already due.

9. Security deposit / card imprint

For each rented machine, a security deposit of €500 per machine is required. It covers in particular damage, missing parts, breakage or theft attributable to the Client or to people under the Client’s responsibility. Where the payment solution allows it, the deposit is a card imprint or bank guarantee with no immediate debit. The Client authorises the renewals or technical updates strictly needed to keep that guarantee during the rental. If a covered incident occurs, all or part of the amount may be debited after the Client is informed and reasonable evidence is shown. The amount that can be charged for breakage, damage or theft is capped at €500 per machine.

10. Installation, use and care of the equipment

The Client uses the equipment for its intended purpose, with care, in a suitable and secure environment. The Client must not open, transform, repair or modify it electrically or in software without authorisation. The Client protects the machines from humidity, shocks, excessive heat, liquids and any obviously abnormal use. Any move of a machine that could affect its connection, stability, access or safety must be reported to the Provider. The Client remains responsible for access to the place and for normal power and safety conditions.

11. Breakdown, maintenance and replacement

If a breakdown is not caused by misuse, The Joystick Club intervenes or arranges a replacement within a target of 24 to 48 hours from a complete report of the incident, subject to access to the place, availability of parts or equivalent equipment, and except for force majeure. A replacement may have a different finish or colour while staying in an equivalent category.

12. Return of the equipment

At the end of the rental, the Client returns the equipment, accessories, consoles, cables and supplied parts in a condition consistent with normal use. Normal wear is not charged. The Joystick Club organises collection on the terms agreed with the Client.

13. Event services

Unless a different quote applies, the base event offer includes 2 arcade machines, one host and 3 hours. The base price is €399 including tax for a service within 30 km of Nice. Extra distance, extra time, an extra machine, a particular technical need or an access constraint may be quoted separately. An event booking is final only after The Joystick Club confirms availability. The full price is then charged on the saved payment method.

14. Cancelling an event

A cancellation notified at least 30 calendar days before the event date entitles the Client to a full refund of sums paid. After that deadline the booking is non-refundable and the price stays with The Joystick Club, subject to any mandatory rights that may apply. When an event service is a leisure activity to be provided on a specific date or during a specific period, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right for some distance contracts may not apply, under the French Consumer Code.

15. Security deposit — events

For event services, the security deposit is €500 per machine provided. It is taken on the same basis as a monthly rental: a bank guarantee or card imprint with no immediate debit, where the payment solution allows it. The cap of €500 per machine applies as well.

16. Client duties at an event

The Client looks after the safety of the space, the required permissions, a suitable power supply and access that allows installation and removal. The Client tells The Joystick Club about any particular constraint: stairs, no lift, controlled access, an outdoor setup, exposure to rain, imposed hours or venue restrictions. The Client is responsible for guests’ behaviour and for damage to the equipment during the service, within the deposit regime in these terms.

17. Delay, no access and force majeure

If installation or the service is delayed or made impossible for a reason attributable to the Client or the venue, the price remains due to the extent The Joystick Club has committed staff, equipment and the reserved slot. The parties still look for a reasonable solution when the circumstances allow it. Neither party is liable for a failure caused by force majeure under French law. If the obstacle lasts, the parties discuss postponing, adapting or ending the service under the applicable rules.

18. Liability

The Joystick Club is liable for direct damage resulting from a proven breach of its obligations. It is not liable for interruptions, data loss, unavailability of third-party services, internet connections, platforms, consoles or game catalogues outside its control, except where the law says otherwise. For professional Clients, indirect losses such as loss of business, turnover, customers or reputation are not compensable, except for gross negligence, wilful misconduct or a mandatory legal rule to the contrary.

19. Consumers’ right of withdrawal

When a contract is concluded at a distance or off-premises with a consumer and no legal exception applies, the consumer has fourteen (14) days to withdraw. If the consumer expressly asks for a service to start before that period ends, they may have to pay for the service actually provided up to withdrawal, as the law provides. The right of withdrawal does not apply, when the legal conditions are met, to leisure services supplied on a specific date or during a specific period.

20. Intellectual property

Trademarks, names, visuals, designs, texts and elements specific to The Joystick Club remain the property of their owners. The Client receives no right to reproduce, adapt or commercially exploit them beyond normal use of the equipment during the contract. Third-party trademarks, games, software, consoles and content remain the property of their respective owners. Their use is subject to the applicable licences and terms; The Joystick Club may adapt or remove content in order to respect those rights.

21. Personal data

Data needed to manage requests, payments, deposits, deliveries, interventions and the client relationship is processed under the applicable data-protection rules. Information on purposes, the controller and people’s rights is in the site privacy policy.

22. Complaints and consumer mediation

Any complaint must first be sent to The Joystick Club / MAISON MAJORA. The Provider will try to find an amicable solution. If the Client is a consumer and that prior complaint does not resolve the dispute, they may refer it free of charge to the consumer mediator responsible for The Joystick Club. That mediator’s name, address and website will be published here once appointed.

The consumer mediator will be named on this page once appointed. Until then, write to maisonmajora@gmail.com — 1 rue Partouneaux, 06500 Menton, France.

23. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by French law. For consumers, the statutory rules on territorial jurisdiction apply. Between professionals, and subject to mandatory rules, any dispute falls to the courts of the Provider’s registered office.

24. Changes to these terms

The Joystick Club may change these terms for future orders. Current contracts stay governed by the version accepted when they were concluded, unless the law requires a change or the Client expressly agrees.

25. Severability

If a clause is held void, unenforceable or contrary to a mandatory rule, the other provisions remain applicable to the fullest extent the law allows.

Use this only when the right of withdrawal legally applies. The Client notifies withdrawal from the contract by giving the order or contract number, the date of conclusion, their name and their address. A signature is required only for a paper notice, sent to THE JOYSTICK CLUB / MAISON MAJORA.
